Las obras de Achternbusch son un gran monólogo, una corriente de palabras e imágenes con la que trata de captar, una y otra vez, su historia y la educación de su familia, así como en las instituciones sociales. El núcleo de su manera de escribir no es sólo la conmemoración, sino más bien la oleada de sentimientos al escribir; Los libros de Achternbusch -el único gran libro que está creando, no es una autobiografía. Feelings cannot be remembered; even while writing, new and different emotions- develop; thus, past and present merge into something new, that is, the imagen that Achternbusch invents for his life. For Achternbusch, the process of writing is poetry, lived and practised, according to the surrealist ethics. The individual's radical search for himself leads necessarily to a confrontation with society, whose institutions have shaped every single one of us. Achternbusch's writing had to confront the history of fascism in Germany which, although officially now a thing of the past, has never been really overcome emotionally. The withholding of a film promotion award from Achternbusch, originally granted to him by the Ministry of the Interior, is fitting reply on the part of the powers that be of the state to Achternbuch's poetics. Thus Achternbusch's poetics has become a touchstone of artistic freedom in the Federal Republic of Germany

Spore Germination Time in Fuligo Septica

Author Institution: Biology Department, North High School, Springfield, OhioFuligo septica spores were selected randomly from six different aethalia collected within fifty feet of one another, on The Ohio State University campus. In each case the specimens were found growing on Paygro, a shredded hardwood-bark mulch used around most of the plantings of the O.S.U. campus. Germination time was determined for the spores of each individual aethalium and comparisons made. The number of spores per cubic millimeter, the pH, and the temperature were also recorded. Germination occurred in from 35 to 92 minutes in spores from all but two of the aethalia, where no germination had occurred as of two hours. The germination times for all spores taken from a single aethalium were found to vary by an average of about +/- 10 min. Spore viability seems to be related not so much to the age of the aethalium as to some condition or set of conditions during the formation of the fructification

CONSERVATION AND NATURAL RESOURCES Waste Management: Provide for Vertical Expansion of Certain Waste Disposal Sites for Two Year Period

The Act amends the Georgia Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Act and allows certain solid waste disposal facilities to vertically expand their existing facilities beyond their originally permitted capacity during a twenty-four month period. The Act requires classifications of modifications as either major or minor modifications for public notice purposes. It defines the public notice procedures required before a major modification. Written verification of compliance with local zoning or land use ordinances and solid waste reduction programs, which is required of permit applicants, is extended to those facilities that have been granted a major modification

Police departments are required to report all family violence incidents to the Georgia Crime Information Center whether or not an arrest is made

This review describes causes, clinical signs, metabolic changes in serum and peritoneal fluid, diagnosis and treatment of uroperitoneum. Rupture of the bladder or urachus is the most common cause of uroperitoneum. The main clinical sign is a pear-shaped enlargement of the abdomen accompanied by gradual deterioration in demeanour and appetite. Ultrasonography shows massive accumulation of anechoic abdominal fluid and organs suspended in the fluid. Bladder defects may be seen cystoscopically and the proximal part of a persistent urachus can be explored endoscopically. Abdominocentesis yields light yellow fluid. A peritoneal-to-serum creatinine concentration ratio of 2 or greater is diagnostic of uroperitoneum. Treatment consists of surgical repair of the defect

The Diaforus project is a collaborative initiative aiming at building a framework for in-network reasoning in a Wireless Sensor Network. The focus of this thesis is located between the network layer and the application layer, articulated in two distincts parts. The first part aims at providing an API for communication to the embedded application, that must be as simple as possible. Hence, the application needs not to have any knowledge about the network's topology. Thus, an IPv6-based network layer has been developed on top of the Wavenis API provided by Coronis, using an adaptation layer, 6LoWPAN, in order to adapt the IPv6 standard to the constraints inherent to the WSNs, in particular reducing the power consumption of the nodes by compressing the IP headers. Moreover, a routing protocol, RPL, has been implemented, that also takes into consideration the optimization aspects of the network. Finally, the second part focuses on the design of an interface for the management and the monitoring of parameters on the node from a standard network. It has been realized through a RESTful architecture, optimized for WSNs using a newly specifed protocol, CoAP. Controlled low-temperature molecular manipulation of sexiphenyl molecules on Ag(111) using scanning tunneling microscopy

A novel scanning tunneling microscope manipulation scheme for a controlled molecular transport of weakly adsorbed molecules is demonstrated. Single sexiphenyl molecules adsorbed on a Ag(111) surface at 6 K are shot towards single silver-atoms by excitation with the tip. To achieve atomically straight shooting paths, an electron resonator consisting of linear standing wave fronts is constructed. The sexiphenyl manipulation signals reveal a pi-ring flipping as the molecule moves from hcp to fcc site. Abinitio calculations show an incorporation of the Ag atom below the center of a pi-ring.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, accepted for publication in Phys. Rev. Let
